I'm a junior in college with the creativity of my grandmother's dentures, an inability to let go of the videogames and TV shows of my childhood, and the attention span of 3/8 of a goldfish...yet somehow I still manage to be a fully functioning member of society.

This is Nembrotha cristata, a colourful sea-slug found in the tropical Indo-West Pacific Ocean. They grow to about 50mm in length and have black bodies with a strange luminous green “trim”. Like most nudibranchs, they deliver a painful string. They do not produce the stinging cells themselves but incorporate them into their own tissues from their prey, stinging jellyfish.

Onsen (温泉)
Is a term for hot springs in the Japanese language. As a volcanically active country, Japan has thousands of onsen scattered along its length and breadth. Onsen come in many types and shapes, including outdoor (露天風呂 or 野天風呂, roten-buro or noten-buro?) and indoor baths.
Onsen water is believed to have healing powers derived from its mineral content. A particular onsen may feature several different baths, each with water with a different mineral composition. The outdoor bath tubs are most often made from Japanese cypress, marble or granite, while indoor tubs may be made with tile, acrylic glass or stainless steel. Different onsen also boast about their different waters or mineral compositions, plus what healing properties these may contain.

Structurally, living stones are comprised of two fused leaves above ground that connect to an underground stem with a long root. The leaves are extremely thick and the degree of fusion depends on the species
